The procedure for entry into the territory of the Russian Federation for foreign citizens in a pandemic
The coronavirus pandemic has created many difficulties and obstacles for foreign citizens to enter Russia. In March 2020, Russian borders were closed for foreign citizens for enterance. The corresponding order of the Russian government is still in force in relation to all foreign citizens with the exception for citizens of:
- United Arab Emirates (UAE)
- The Republic of Korea
- Saudi Arabia

The border with the countries mentioned above are open, you need only to issue the invitation to obtain a visa (the period for issuing the invitation is around 20 days). For all the questions regarding the receiving of the invitation - please write a request to our travel partner - Demlink Travel (please find the contacts below).
However, if you are a citizen of another country, you have the opportunity to enter the territory of the Russian Federation by following a number of requirements and recommendations. Below is the procedure for obtaining a business visa to the Russian Federation.
1. We will prepare an official letter to the Government of the Russian Federation with a request to assist in crossing the border. To complete this letter, we need an application form for your participation in the exhibitions, as well as a copy of the passport of a foreign citizen.
2. The term for consideration of an official appeal is up to two months. After that, an official response comes in including the list of citizens entitled to cross the border of the Russian Federation. After that we will prepare an invitation on the basis of which you can obtain a business visa.
3. Foreign citizens are required to obtain a certificate of absence of COVID-19 (PCR) within 3 days before crossing the Russian border. It should be in Russian or English language.
